Shao Jingkun's "Vase of Flowers" gouache, 58×53cm, circa 1980-1990s


Shao Jingkun (1932.11- ), female, from Harbin. Member of the China Art Association, professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and a famous female oil painter in China. Good at oil painting and gouache painting. In 1949, he entered the National Peking Art College (the predecessor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts) to study painting under the tutelage of Xu Beihong, Dong Xiwen, Ye Qianyu, Jiang Zhaohe and others. In 1953, he entered the postgraduate class of the Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. After graduation, he taught at the Beijing Art Institute and the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 1957, "Liu Hulan in Hometown" was collected by the Shanxi Museum; in 1958, "The Love of Fish and Water" was collected by the Chinese Revolution Museum. In 1962, the Chinese Artists Association organized Dong Xiwen and Shao Jingkun to go to Tibet to live in depth, and they were exhibited in art galleries and nationwide tours; in 1976, "Ten Miles Long" "Street" (in commemoration of Premier Zhou Enlai) is collected by the Chinese Revolution Museum; in 1978, he created "National Treasure" (portrait of Soong Ching Ling) for the Soong Ching Ling Memorial Hall; in 1981, he was hired as a tutor in Xu Beihong's studio; in 1986, he went to the Soviet Union, Georgia and other places to visit and exhibit life sketches. In 1987, he went to the UK to give lectures at the invitation of Duruom University. The oil painting "Still Life Series" was exhibited at the Royal Festival Hall, the oil painting "National Treasure" was exhibited at the National Art Museum of China, and the oil painting "Shaoxing Water Village" participated in the "China Art Exhibition" in Harkness, New York, USA. "Modern Oil Painting Exhibition"; in 1989, he went to Singapore to participate in the "Chinese Modern Oil Painting Exhibition", and the oil painting "Tajik Girl" was collected; in 1990, the oil painting "Yellow Chrysanthemum" was exhibited and collected in the Capital Museum; in 1992, he visited France and Hong Kong and participated in It was exhibited at the "Chinese Heritage Exhibition Hall" of the Hong Kong Exhibition Center. "Vase of Flowers" participated in the "First Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition" on the fourth floor of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The oil paintings "Rose Flower" and "Golden Autumn Season" were collected by the National Art Museum of China; in 1993, he went to Japan participated in the "Art Exhibition of the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Japan", and the oil painting "White Peony Root" was awarded the Special Outstanding Work Award; in 1994, a large-scale album "Shao Jingkun's Selected Paintings" was published.
